Jalene Bowersmith joined IMI in 2013. She brings to the table 4.5 years working with non-profit organizations plus nine years in higher education, and earned her CMP designation in 2001. Jalene "doesn’t have a hometown" since she has lived in many parts of the U.S., including Indiana, California, Connecticut, Kentucky, Louisiana, Arizona, D.C., and North Carolina. The ability to give back on a daily basis is Jalene’s favorite part of working in an AMC.
In 2017 Jalene was honored by the American Society of Association Executives with the conveyance of the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential, the highest professional credential in the association industry.

Her favorite movie is Fantasia and she loves to travel, read, and people watch. Jalene's best vacation ever was a two week camping safari in sub-Saharan Africa.
