Melissa Conger is an award-winning journalist and writer — turned communications professional and marketer — who champions her philosophy that storytelling and targeted messaging, in combination with a collaborative spirit, create business-changing content and are the basis of all successful campaigns worthy of recognition.
Melissa found her place at IMI following an extensive, 10+ career within healthcare. She’s led high-profile initiatives with large-scale companies such as Novartis Pharma and its eyecare business, Alcon; along with others focused on biotech, mobile technology (Samsung), innovative technology; and a few associations along the way (American Lung Association, National Speech and Debate Association and Global Semiconductor Alliance).
Melissa continues her much-beloved trek throughout the AMC landscape by working with the International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). She’s enjoying growing her AMC experience by using her background to help empower and motivate professionals and teams.
When she isn’t working, she spends most of her time spoiling her dogs. She often peruses (and sometimes purchases) up-and-coming artist works, checks out local dining and music scenes, and pursues her globetrotting adventures whenever she can. Someday, Melissa would love to establish an animal sanctuary.
