Susanna has been with IMI since 2019 and is new to the nonprofit industry, but is not new to the service industry. She taught for three years after receiving a BS in Education at Temple University. Afterwards, Susanna transitioned to a fire service career and worked her way through the ranks over 18 years when she finally retired as Fire Chief in summer of 2019. She was one of only 52 female fire chiefs of a municipality in the U.S.
She has a MPA from Anna Maria College), Executive Fire Officer (EFO) designation through the National Fire Academy, and the Fire Service Executive Development Institute (FSEDi) designation through the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
Susanna enjoys working in the AMC industry because she enjoys utilizing her skills to serve others.

Susanna loves to travel and has many road trips under her belt. Her longest is 7,500 miles in 3.5 weeks around the U.S. National Parks. Bryce Canyon is her favorite. Additionally, she loves to read and write romance novels and has started work on three novels!
