Whitney Thweatt joined IMI in 2005 and brings to the table 10 years of experience in association management, along with a Degree in Political Science and in Journalism and Mass Communications – Advertising Sequence from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from Salisbury, N.C., Whitney's favorite part of working at an AMC is "Working with volunteers. It always amazes me how the board and committee leaders are able to commit so much time and effort to the association while also fulfilling their demanding day jobs."
In 2016 Whitney was honored by the American Society of Association Executives with the conveyance of the CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential, the highest professional credential in the association industry. She also completed the Qualified Association Specialist (QAS) Program in January 2015.
